Conscious long-term destination planning and product developing are based on knowing the habits of arrival tourists which is recently indispensable for the supply side not only to successfully enter into the tourism market, but also to preserve its competitiveness in the hightened competitions of the destinations. This is why it is important to know the motivation of the arrival visitors in the examination of touristic destinations because it is one of the essential characteristics of demand that defines the attitude and space use of the tourists. Places and attractions visited by tourists draw the main moving lines and in their spatial distribution a strong concentration can be examined. In the study we are listing attraction and visitor management devices and methods applied by destination management organisations which create the opportunity to influence the touristic space usage. In the course of our research we chose the West-Balaton region as a sample area whose management organisation established its regional touristic cooperations as the first in the country. We examined that the arrival visitors what kind of settlements were in searching for and what kind of touristic services they used in the sample area. This present study includes the system of devices applied in management and also their opportunities for development.
