In recent years, numerous initiatives, civil, professional and political forums have dealt with the (not only) tourism utilization of the Danube and its complex problems. From a professional point of view, it is also fortunate that the various domestic and international projects, documents, and strategies evaluated the development of the tourist attraction along the Danube, basically in terms of sustainability, so that the individual research materials also highlighted the fundamental duality of the tourism development of the region. The study – in the form of a case study – elaborates the professional experiences of a 2-year project implemented in recent years, taking the above issue into consideration.
