Prokos, H. (2015). Traces of life from the Lapis Limestone Formation. Modern Geográfia, 10(2), 1–24.

After a rockfall in the abandoned part of the Bükkösdkő querry (Mecsek Mountains, SW Hungary), in spring 2010 an approx. 2 meter tall section of the Lapis Limestone was revealed. The outcrop itself is referred to the Middle Triassic Muschelkalk lithofacies group. Even after the fall, it was possible to correlate the fallen beds with the succession. Due to the abundant trace fossil content found in the revealed beds, the rockfall provided an excellent opportunity for the paleoenvironmental reconstruction of the ichnoassemblages found. The other outcrop is located closely to the similarly abandoned Gorica-querry.
