This analysis combines the approximations of ethnic and political geographies. Outlines the experienced population decline of the Hungarian minority in Slovakia and intensifying assimilation phenomenas among them. Reviewing the results of the parliamentary elections in Slovakia on its districts level, will attempt to base a hypothesis that explaining the possible relationships between the territorial background of assimilation processes and the spatial structure of the votes for political parties representing the Hungarian minority in Slovakia.
